GradSharp is an independent editorial website providing graduate careers advice for the UK and Ireland. This policy explains what information may be collected when you use the site.

Information we collect

GradSharp uses Cloudflare services to deliver and protect the website and to understand basic traffic patterns. Depending on consent and configuration, this can include browser type, device type, pages visited, approximate location derived from IP address, referring pages and page-performance information.

Analytics

GradSharp currently uses Cloudflare Web Analytics delivered through Cloudflare Zaraz. Non-essential analytics are assigned to a consent purpose and should load only after the visitor grants that purpose. The footer includes a Cookie settings control so visitors can review their choice.

Advertising

GradSharp is not currently serving Google AdSense advertisements. If advertising is enabled, this policy will be updated to identify the active provider and purposes before ads are served.

Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud and personalise advertising where the visitor has consented. Google explains this processing in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Before Google advertising is enabled for visitors in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, GradSharp must use a Google-certified consent management platform configured for the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework where required. Advertising tools must be assigned to the correct consent purposes in Cloudflare Zaraz before activation.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. They may be used for consent records, analytics, performance, security and, if enabled in future, advertising. Use the Cookie settings control in the site footer to reopen the consent modal. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings.

Checklist progress

If you use a checklist on the Tools page, your progress is saved in local browser storage only after you interact with that checklist. The saved progress remains on your device and is not sent to GradSharp. You can remove it with the checklist reset control or by clearing this site's browser data.

Email and contact information

If you contact GradSharp by email, we may use your email address and message only to reply to you. We do not sell personal contact details.

External links

GradSharp articles may link to employer websites, government pages, universities, job boards or other third-party sources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external websites.

Data retention

Basic analytics data may be retained according to the settings of the analytics provider. Email correspondence may be retained where needed for ordinary communication and site administration.

Children

GradSharp is written for students, graduates and adult jobseekers. It is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if GradSharp changes its analytics, advertising, contact or data-handling practices. The latest version will be published on this page.
